Room for Peace is a free and virtual fellowship in July 2024 for young leaders in Southeast Asia who are part of peace-based efforts in sustainability, social causes, technology, and innovation.

You will:

  • join high-level career and social impact workshops with peers and regional experts,

  • receive an invitation to join our virtual youth forum to voice your insights to experts at the United Nations (including possible selection as a featured panelist),

  • access a long-term community of professional mentors across the social and private sectors (e.g., sustainability, finance, tech)

  • receive a certificate of recognition as a regional young leader.

Guided by mentors, strengthened by community, inspired by experts.

As a participant, you will attend two virtual workshops on weekends in early July, then be invited to engage United Nations experts at a virtual youth forum on July 19.

We will nominate top Room for Peace participants as featured panelists in this forum.

    We will invite top Room for Peace participants to represent the region to United Nations experts at our global youth forum on July 19. All participants will join the audience and have a chance to ask questions.

    You will hear from regional experts and professionals in the social and private sectors who have built successful organizations or are part of leading private firms solving key issues.

  • Gain a long-term network.

    You will receive an invitation to a private LinkedIn group upon program completion that includes professional mentors across the social and private sectors, to help you build an impactful career.

Room for Peace is organized by young leaders from Southeast Asia and beyond at South-North Scholars, the global youth-led network on sustainable development.

We have connected over 3,000 young leaders in 100+ countries, including in most of Southeast Asia, with experts at leading NGOs and institutions like the United Nations, faculty at universities including Duke and Harvard, and top firms in the social sector, technology, management consulting, and sustainable finance.
